Single-Pilot 800m RVR Limitation
With effect from 30 Oct 25, the regulation (GM4 NCO.OP.110 Aerodrome operating minima – aeroplanes and helicopters) that imposed an approach ban on Single-Pilot operators carrying out instrument approaches to below 800m RVR/VIS, without the use of additional equipment, will be removed.
It appears that this regulation will be replaced by (AMC2 NCO.OP.110 Aerodrome operating minima — aeroplanes and helicopters) which does away with the 800m limitation placed on single-pilot operators.
Please remember that this apparent relaxation can only be applied once all of the new regulations have been adopted by your ATO in accordance with ORS4 1637.
